China Glaze Haul - Part 1

So, my lot of 30 China Glaze polishes arrived today in the mail and I must say, I'm a little bit disappointed. Of course I'm really happy that I now have 30 new polishes to welcome into my collection, but the bottles are my biggest issue. The majority (18 out of 30) have absolutely no paint on them. No logo or information, just a completely blank bottle. I guess I shouldn't really be upset about this, considering that the polish inside is what really matters, but it still irks me a bit. Of course, this includes all of the old-style bottle (those being Out on Safari, Cat's Eye, Nightfall, and Indian Ocean). One of the bottles is old-style but has the new logo, so like... what's up with that? Either way, I'm still excited to have all these new polishes so I figured I would just swatch them all! I know that's crazy, but it has to be done, right? I think I will split this into 3 parts, with 10 polishes for each part. Just a warning, the swatches will not be perfect and may feature: flooded cuticles, a bit of balding, small bubbles, polish on my fingers, stained nails, and just general imperfections. I will try my best to make my swatches presentable, but when you are swatching 30 polishes in a short time span, mistakes will happen! I will also include the amount of coats I used and any notes I have. The maximum amount of coats I'll do is 2 for the sake of time. Keep in mind also that the formula and color may be off due to age (most of these are pre-2006). Here are the first 10, in no particular order - I will be closing my eyes and picking at random.

Verano - shimmery light pink - 2 coats
Notes: very fast drying! This is also the first CG I've had experience with, so if I notice that the other polishes dry at the same rate, I won't include this.
soon!

Gilded Treasures - sheer shimmer gold with small silver glitter - 2 coats

Cranberry Flame - medium red with coppery shimmer - 2 coats
Notes: much duller in person.

Bohemian Chic - medium red shimmer - 2 coats
Notes: similar to last, also duller in person. Previous owner of this collection seems to have really favored reds, as will become apparent the more I swatch.

Sleek - classic red creme - 2 coats
Notes: great coverage in 2 easy coats. Definitely a winner!

Vintage - dark red creme - 2 coats
Notes: super duper streaky and uneven. Not a fan! Perhaps 3 coats would do it?

Australian Alabaster - sheer milky off-white creme - 3 coats
Notes: I said I wouldn't do three coats, but I really wanted to give Australian Alabaster a chance to be opaque. And it got close! Even though it's weird, milky, and streaky, I really like it. Pointer finger may look odd because I smudged it and painted over.

Vampy - dark red with gold shimmer - 2 coats
Notes: basically the prettier, darker, opaquer, glittery, better-in-every-way big sister to Vintage.

Tropical Tease - sheer light pinkish-purple with super fine glitter - 2 coats
Notes: a little streaky, but pretty!

Out on Safari - camo green shimmer - 2 coats
Notes: very pretty and unique!

Well, I think that wraps things up for part 1. Check out the next parts in this series! See you soon!
