Hello everyone! I'd like to start by saying that I'm pretty sure this polish's proper name is just "Blue Moon". However, if the second part is indeed meant to be a French translation, then it's wrong! Ciel de nuit means "night sky". Wouldn't "blue moon" in French be "la lune bleue"? I apologize if I'm wrong -- 3 years of learning French have not taught me much. I'll refer to it simply as "Blue Moon" to minimize confusion and the unnecessary addition of words.
Anyways. If I had to guess when this polish dates back to, I'd guess mid-to-late 2000s. It really sucks that I'm unfamiliar with the time periods in which my nail polishes came out. Of course I can try to figure it out from the bottle's style, the quality of the polish (gloppy/thin/etc), the wear to the bottle, or just by looking it up. The only polishes that are carefully documented on the Internet seem to be OPI and Essie (I found a whole web page dedicated to recording when each OPI collection came out). So often times information on smaller/cheaper brands, such as Wet n Wild in this case, is not readily available. It's quite sad, honestly. I gotta stop rambling!
So anyways, "Blue Moon" is a pretty navy blue color with a teal/green shimmer to it. I do own other dark blue polishes, but nothing like this! Here it is in 2 easy coats. (1 thick coat could definitely work also!)
You can't really tell from the picture, but this has some depth to it. It reminds me of being underwater in a dark lake. That sounds kinda scary, but I mean it in the nicest way possible. It's kind of magical, really.
So, I think I'm gonna wrap it up here. I realized that I've been posting basically every day now, but you know what? I like doing it! It's fun, and somehow very therapeutic. I feel like I can talk about what I love (that being nail polish, of course) without annoying or boring anyone. Anyways... bye for now!
