China Glaze Haul - Part 3 Finale

Here it is, the final part of my China Glaze haul. You'll be happy to know that there are only 2 reds in this part. This should be pretty interesting! Same setup as the previous two parts - I close my eyes and pick polishes at random. So here are the final 10, in no particular order.

Hippie Chic - mauve with heavy copper shimmer - 2 coats
Notes: I'm not sure why, but this shows up on camera as very orangey when it isn't! Words can't really describe this color properly. It's mesmerizing.

Ravishing, Dahling - dark red creme - 2 coats
Notes: I'd say this is the defining dark red creme of this collection. It's still not great, but it performs its duty.

Nightfall - dark indigo/purple creme - 2 coats
Notes: Finally, a break from reds, and warm tones in general! *sigh of relief* I like this one. You know how some cremes dry and look like enamel paint? This is one of those. Though I did notice it doesn't dry quite as fast as some of the others.

Cat's Eye - rich chartreuse shimmer - 2 coats
Notes: If you read my post "Outdated Beauty Supply Site Selling Vintage China Glaze - Could It Possibly Be True?", then you'd know I've been lemming Cat's Eye for a little bit. I can happily say that I'm satisfied with it! It's truly a unique and gorgeous color (it really does look like a cat's eye) with all the vintage artifacts you'd expect, like its brushstrokey-ness. I am so proud to welcome this rare vintage polish into my collection, even without its logo!

Draped in Velvet - deep purple/magenta shimmer - 2 coats
Notes: Wow, wow, wow! How pretty is she? I know the picture shows some balding and VNL, but it's so hard to notice in person. I like this one!

Indian Ocean - deep blue shimmer - 2 coats
Notes: Ooh, pretty! I like it.

Cloud Burst - sheer pearly/shimmery white - 2 coats
Notes: This is the one I mentioned in part 1 that has the old-style bottle but new logo. I wonder why that is... not much to say about the color itself. Pretty typical frosty white.

Chat Room Rendezvous - medium red creme - 2 coats
Notes: The final red has been vanquished! And a pretty good one to end with, too. Opaque in 2 coats. Sorry for the ridiculous sloppiness of this swatch - I'm starting to get a little worn out.

Haute Hippie - dusty purple shimmer - 2 coats
Notes: OPI Fee Fi Fo Plum, is this you?? The most boring, dull purple in the world. Sighhhh. Only one left to go!

Peasant Look - mauve with gold shimmer - 2 coats
Notes: Peasant Look: the final frontier. It's okay. I'd wear it again.

So... I guess this is it. This has been quite the ride. For every dull, bland red there was a decent color. When I bought this collection, the true hope was to finally own some sweet vintage old-style bottle colors. And I guess I technically got that, but something about the worn-away paint lessens that victory just a little bit. At the end of the day, I'm really happy to welcome all these new polishes into my 'family', but I can't help that little bit of disappointment I feel. I'll definitely still be making a purchase on that website CacheBeauty.com, where I should hopefully get some sweet vintage bottles with logo intact. Admittedly I've got a headache from all the polish and remover fumes I've exposed myself to over the past hour and a half... I should probably drink some water and lie down. Thanks for joining me on this journey. Until next time…
